I recently was looking at shoes for a recent event .

Now every day i'm been plagued by ads for shoes .

Please help before i start having nightmares about them

This is something called "re-marketing" and it's based on the idea that you'd like to see those shoes you thought about buying, but didn't quite commit to.

If you'd like to not see those ads, and see ones demographically selected/guessed, then clearing cookies would work.

It's harmless though? Unless you have a shoe-wear aversion, and your visit to the shoe site was some kind of immersion therapy? :)

Just reading this thread has given me loads of shoe ads. I was looking at the thread where someone asked if she had an alcohol problem, and then I got ads for rehab places. I just ignore them.
