Parking Using App On Mobile Phone

Not a question but anyone that uses an app when parking at pay and display needs to be aware that if they change car they need to update car details on the app. My son just bought new car and parked in car park but totally forgot about doing this. Got back to car short while later thinking he had paid only to find a ticket on his car. He did contest it and got the ticket cancelled as he had proof he had paid but it could have also gone the other way.
