You need the plug in gizmo to reset the indicator.
Some cars have a switch somewhere that turns it off. I know that the switch on a Galaxy is behind the glovebox ( I know that will not help clbirkett - but someone may need it). If it is annoying you a small piece of black tape over the light will help

Yes its a spanner on the LCD dash.... Charlie
On some cars, and it worked on my 53 reg Skoda, push and hold in the mileage reset button for about 10 secs, still holding the button in, turn on the ignition and keep the button in for a further 10 secs.

Nice one john91.... your suggestion worked like a dream, held reset button in for 10 secs, turned ignition on, still pressing reset button, spanner lit up and a number beside the spanner counted down to zero and that was it, now when I turn on ignition spanner lights up for a few seconds and tells me 12000 miles untill next service then goes out... your a star man.  cheers Charlie.
