hello,
recently i took my 3 year old suzuki swift for a health check to my local dealers were i bought it, and it was discovered that the were were faults with the suspension and it would cost over £300 to fix. The garage are saying that it is not covered on the warranty because it is a result of wear and tear, any ideas as to what i should do? should i take it to another garage for another quote?

what sort of wear & tear, the only thing - I recall being told/informed was not to jack it up from under the axle beam as it would bend it & throw out the geometry,
You didnt state the mileage , I got rid of mine at 35 months old.

its at 21000 miles and theyve said the lower arm bushing worn and n/s/f lower arm bushing worn and n/s/f drop link boot leaking grease
certainly wear & tear but at 21,00o miles...
im assuming its up for its MOT,if so take it & see if it fails on these items...
3 years I would question this, I'm sure this dealer is after work, they should last far longer than that, take it to another garage Pic, not the dealer as you WILL PAY MORE.
sounds like they are trying to get some work if you ask me.

Thanks for advice everyone, you may be right about them wanting work!
Pic, I would not think your car would have covered much milage in 3 years, on a MOT test a;though it has to be done right, there is hardly anything that needs changing, the garage is taking the iZZZ, You will pay more at the dealers in any case, you can still get your car serviced & the service book stamped at a VAT reg Garage, & providing they use the Genuine parts for 1/2 the cost.
