Best sat nav for map updates

Has anyone had experience of map updates with different sat navs? If so, which is the easiest/cheapest to do?

Small, not ugly, not too expensive to run with large shopping capacity!

I recently purchasd a Garmin 1340 lmt which came with free lifetime map updates.
other makes may have the same offer.
is that cheap enough - mind you it cost £140 - luckily it was half price

On Amazon (now) Garmin Nuvi 1340 @ £96.41 & £103.59. I don't know why 2 prices!.

For that price you could buy another Satnav and get free updates for a year.
