ask yourself how many Fronteras have you seen with the roof off ?
Its a nightmare, from what i can remember they are bolted on but suffer severe rust on the bolts/fittings so everything seizes up, most people just dont bother..
A few years ago It took one of my mechanics well over an hour, we had to remove the roof to fit a new 1/4 panel due to body damage so we had no choice
