Pretty obscure, I know, but there's a very famous (in Poland) rock anthem, probably from the 80s but still played all the time on rock radio channels, of which I don't know any words (but it's sung in Polish), I only know it's a very catchy sing-a-long chorus which goes "Naa naa nana nana naa, na na na na nana na na" (repeat several times).  Sorry it's not very specific, but I'd love to find out which band were responsible.

i think the song you are thinking of is called live is life by an austrian group named opus, it reached number 6 in 1985.

No, it isn't Live is Life, I know that song very well.  It's definitely by a Polish band and the lyrics (which I don't know) are sung in Polish (but the Nana bit is sung as Nana!)

A Polish friend suggests:

"Przezyj to sam" (Live it for yourself) by Lombard
or "Autobiography" by Perfekt.

I had high hopes when the Perfekt song started, but it isn't the one.  There's a part in the song where the actual words are "naa naa na-na-na-na-na".  Please keep your Polish friend on the case, WaldoMcFroog, he's definitely barking up the right tree with Perfekt and Lombard, I'm sure every Polish rock fan over the age of 25 must know this song instantly!

I think that may be a song "zakochaj sie", the band is called Ich Troje, but that is rather a pop song. Check also a song sang by Urszula entiteled "Depresja" and Kazik's "Komuna mentalna" :)
