just to clear up this once & for all -

can anybody who has a full motorcycle licence travel as pillion on a learner rider.

i did google this & had some conflicting results.

i am talking UK not any other countries

i didn;t think a learner rider could have a pillion rider, no matter who it is,

thanks guys - thats what i thought - but when & if did the law change ???
The condition attached to provisional licences such that...

"The holder of a provisional licence authorising the driving of -
(a) a moped, or
(b) a motor bicycle with or without a side-car,
shall not drive such a vehicle while carrying on it another person"

...is to be found in Section 16(6) of The Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) Regulations 1999, which came into force 12th November 1999.
