Does anyone know how I can get hold of the code for my renault megane?

I've just spoken to Renault who tell me that I need to visit my local dealer, take my driving licence, log book and pay �15 to get the code for my radio.Does anyone know of an easier way?

have a look through the radio manual (or car manual if it was designed for that specific car), sometimes you can get lucky and find the code in there. not guaranteed but worth a try. otherwise i think you will have to go to the dealer

Take the radio to a auto electrical shop or a car radio dealer and ask for it to be de-coded. they are shops all over that can do this I have even seen a small corner shops that do it.
