My 2004 Ford Mondeo is pouring out black smoke and is pulling back in all gears. When in 4th 5th or 6th gear to accelarate from 60 upwards is a long and duly task. It has just been fully serviced and MOT what could the problem be.....

it may have been fully serviced but did they change the air filter ?...blocked air filter causes these problems on a diesel , try driving it without to see what happens
..assuming its diesel. From what i remember theres also gas recurculating valves that play up..
Check the engine oil level. It may have been overfilled.
my 2005 focus diesel is going in shortly for just that problem- one of the hoses/boots on the turbocharger has a dirty great split in it.
