Hello,

Does anyone know where I can find the decoding code for a Song car stereo? My dad is trying to fix my car and he has done something to the radio/cd player and now it is asking for a code. It's the code you type in while using the remote control.

Thanks.

this happened to me a couple of years ago when my car battery had to be changed. The only thing I could think of was to take the car to a 'car music-iy place' where they removed the stereo and re-programmed it. It cost about 15 which they very thoughtfully deducted from the cost of my new CD player I bought a couple of months later.

I have had it happen before and I posted the Q on here and someone told me what to do. I need to press a combination on the remote control... It's something like 'Menu, Alt, Source, Alt'.... but I don't remember and I can't find the Q I posted!! Grrrr
Sorry then chicken - can't help. Not technically minded any more - mind is like porridge which happens when you have children and no-one warns you...(and they're 13 and 8!)

Lol. Thanks anyway hun. I will sit and wait. I have tried Google but I have no idea what I'm looking for!
look amongst all the paperwork and manuals for your car. It is sometimes on a card tucked in the wallet.
If not, is it original equipment fitted to the car?

If so your local dealer should be able to get the code - at a price.
you can get your code absolutely free at www.31bubblegum.proboards54.com
