Citroen xantia and citroen xsara-compare!

Ive had a citroen xantia before and it was just dreadful ive also driven many others and they are all the same!! They are sluggish and slow at junctions and the wings at the back are just too big to see past them!! Ive had bigger cars before so its not the size and ive had diesel's before so its not the fuel!! I have driven a xantia hdi which as a different kettle of fish all together, really lovely car!! The thing is i have got a citroen zsara on the way, diesel, 1.9 s reg and i'm really hoping its nothing like the bog standard 1.9 xantia's. Can anyone give me any info?
