on my mums insurance but car is in my name

does the vechicle have to be in my mothers name if i am getting insured on her policy, at the moment the ca is in my name does it have to be in my mums name on the logbook for her to get insured on it and me as a named driver

yes if the policy is going to be in your mums name she needs to be the registered keeper
Sorry rdv but that is not the case for every company. When I was getting prices for my wife's car (which is insured in my name) some insurers refused to quote, but not all. The car is now insured in my name with her as the owner and keeper. Not sure if the same applies to mothers though!
This is a common trick for young drivers, but the insurers are not fools.
