I am due to take my driving test soon and are quite concerned as I am a nervous person with not much confidence. Can anyone help me with advice or hints as how to cope with the test.
Cant really give you any hints but when i did my driving test i used some rescue remedy to calm my nerves. It did help. You can get it at most chemist shops. Its herbal so is completely safe (i was pregnant at the time-does no harm.) and has a really yummy brandy flavour to it!!! yum!!
Make sure your instructor has you 100% ready. If there is any element that you are worried about then ensure you cover it until you can do it backwards (excuse any puns) If I was not happy about any part beit roundabouts or reversing or anything then I would be nervous too. The biggest single cause of failing the test is lack of preperation and experience
Rescue remedy has worked well for many of my pupils. Try not to tell to many freinds and family too as this just adds to the stress and remember the examiner truly WANTS to pass you and I mean this as if he does have to fail you he has extra paperwork to do.
The examiner will normally move his seat back so he can watch you better so he won't be in your eyeline so try to forget that he is there. There is no need to be nervous, just do the best you can.Don't rush anything after all the more time you take the less driving you will have to do,however don't be hesitent ,taking your time and being hesitent are totally different things. You could try a few cups of Camomile Tea as well it's supposed to help calm you.Good Luck, let us know the result
