corsa overheating

my p reg corsa is running hot.but the fan does operate when the temperature reachea 100 degrees.

You have a faulty thermostat - it is common on Corsa's - it is behind the timing belt so that will have to be removed to gain access to it - and if your car has covered 40k get the timing belt replaced at the same time and also the timing belt tensioner pulley too.
Get it repaired sooner rather than later - head gaskets are another failing on them.
