citroen C5 Help needed!!

Hi folks i hope you can help, i have just taken ownership of a 2001 citroen C5, can anyone tell me why there is a consistent beeping noise coming through the speakers/radio everytime i turn it on, the beeps are at 5 second intervals, i know it is trying to tell me something but i dont know what!!! Also it keeps stalling at low revs, any ideas what this could be? are the beeps trying to warn me of this problem?? any help would be great, thanks in advance!!!

Ask here: http://www.frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/viewforu m.php?f=3 now that the C5 is coming into DIY ownership someone will likely know..........not me though, I'm sticking with my BX, it seems simple by comparison!!
