Disable passenger airbag on the new Vectra

I have an 07 plate Vectra and wondered how I can disable the passenger airbag so that I can put the child seat in the front. Can't find the info in the manual

If memory serves correct you have to go to Vauxhall to get it deactivated.
You may like to know Vauxhall sell baby seats with a built-in transponder which automatically disables the airbag when the baby seat is in the front.

I will never put my child in the front seat of a car with an airbag. Disabled or not I will never trust it would not go off
