my sister has had her engine management light on since the fuel debacle after she purchased her fuel from Morrisons in Welwyn Garden City. Her local Kia garage has cleaned it twice and said she just needs to keep filling up with premium unleaded and eventaully it will go out. It has been weeks now and the garage had it in on Monday and the light went out only to come back on 10 miles later. Kia themselves are not interested.
Any advice would be welcome or is her only option to pay for new sensors.

Thanks

This engine needs to be assessed by a diagnostic computer to know exactly what is wrong, however I suspect the sensor in the exhaust is burnt and unless this can take accurate readings of the exhaust gases then the engine will not run efficiently, this should really be fixed and recharged to the petrol station where the contaminated fuel was purchased.
