I have a mitsubishi colt which is due for 24000 service next month.I have been quoted 300.
An independent garage will do it for 150
How does this affect my warranty?

It doesn't, as long as the garage is VAT registered and only genuine Mitsubushi parts are used.
Dont have to be genuine Mitsubishi parts either. Just as long as they are OE spec. You can tell the garage you need OE spec parts and they will only fit these. The warranty will only be a problem if a non OE part has been fitted and that is the cause of the fault you are claiming for under warranty. For instance: If you fit a non OE spec oil filter and later the boot seal starts to leak (due to a warranty fault) then your warranty is still valid.
you get what you pay for.....
check what items are carried out at Mitsubishi and compare that to the independant

i suspect you will find there is a difference
A question for all Answerbankers:

Does dannywells:

A) Own a Mitsubishi garage

B) Work for a Mitubishi garage

C) Have designs on the owner of a
of a Mitsubishi garage

D) Have a grudge against a
NON-Mitsubishi garage
im neither of those options, and I also go to an independent to have my BM fixed and im very hgappy with them - however there are a lot of garages about who will 'service' your car and do little more then put some cheap oil in
Just saying ask what Mitsubishi will do for the money and compare that to the independent
