Hi, im thinking of putting a bid in for an omega on ebay, it has a fault on the clutch. The seller says that he pressed the clutch one day and it stayed down to the floor (similar to when a cable snaps). Though being hydraulic, im wondering what the worst case scenario might be, in order to arrange moving the vehicle (london to liverpool) or preferably repairing it there and then before driving it back.
Any info much appreciated

it could be a few things. all of which aren't a ten minute job if its the master cylinder which is combined with the brake master cylinder its a lengthy job as all the lot has to be removed to get to the clutch master cylinder. If its the slave cylinder then the gearbox has to come out as it works directly on to the release bearing so if you do want to buy the car i'd get a few quotes before committing to it i know the slave cylinder assembly is around 200 for parts and while the box is out its worth putting a clutch in so another 150 before labour so i would advise against getting it done in london
