Why do the windscreen wipers on my megane come on occasionally by themselves causing the heater fan to blow intermittantly also?

Forgot to mention, it could be because of a common fault on Renaults of a little water leak from the sunroof or aerial affecting the electrics.

Heard of this one before. Think a chap once told me there is a problem with the wiper linkage rubbing on the wiring, causing a short. Could be wrong but check a Renault forum.
