Hi. I recently bought a 2006 "facelift" Forester 2.5 XT and am unsure about the specs of the engine (despite Googling).
It seems effin' fast (and makes a v satisfying blowoff valve sound!) but I'm curious about how powerful it actually is.
The V5 specifies that the engine is an SG9 varient, version 560.
Can anyone shed any light on this?
TIA

Strangely no, although it does have some STI parts.
It comes up on the reg document as "Subaru Forester XT Turbo"
2.5 litre engine.

Not sure about that (I did come across this page btw) some of the specs are different, eg. my one has ventilated discs all round. That model has discs front/drums rear.
Question Author
It has had the bigger intercooler from a WRX STI and Y-pipe put in.
Bit of a mystery.
