I have a red Astra and the paint work on the spolier and roof are slightly faded compared to the rest of the paint on the body. What's the best way to bring the colour back, is there a polish to do the job?

You need to go over it with T-Cut (or some other colour restorer), once done, you need to cover the area with a good polish.

This can be a big problem with flat (non metallic) colours. When I worked for a ford dealership we used to call radient red - radient pink - because that is what it can become.

The other answer is correct - use a cutting compound then a good polish, then keep the car out of the sun if you can.
