This has puzzled me for some time. I know that prefix OU means registered in Oxford but..............................

Over the last year or so I see cars on TV/Films usually driven by celebrities for a program series and often Audis (but not always). Also again today in a newspaper showing a car review on new Seat which is obviously just a publicity photo - again OU..

Is it a coincidence or are these prefixes used deliberately for some reason?

I'm getting paranoid now!!
