it used to be approx 10-12,000 miles per year so a car from late 04 is almost 7 years old. I wouldnt say that 74,000 was high at all.

Petrol or diesel? If it's diesel, some would say that at 74k miles it has only just run in!!!

At 7 yrs old the car is way under the 12000 miles per year recomended by most car manafacturers. It also gives you a good selling point having low millage

the chap i do a bit of weekend taxi-ing for often has diesel cars on an 04 plate with quarter of a million miles on the clock! they just keep going...
