The asians from Kenya were given refuge in UK. Are the white Zimbabs given same ?
And why were the Kenyan Asians given refuge in the UK?
Because they were there at the request of the British as cheap labour and had British passports.
White Zimbabs now won't have British passports, unlike those who came in from Kenya and Uganda. Remember it well.
The Indians went to Kenya at the request of the British to build railways and provide other services including retail and skilled trade during the late 18th century, India being under British rule at the time.
When Kenya was given independence the Indians were offered the choice of British or Kenyan passports. The vast majority identified themselves more closely with the British due to colonial ties stretching back many, many years and so chose the British passports.
