It's not something I would go out of my way to watch as entertainment.
couldn't give a fig...queer as folk was hilarious, gritty and real stuff. i have a very liberal outlook...x
I'm not homophobic either bobbie but it turns me off to see it.
Doesn't bother me, so out of 5 (so far) noone has actually said they 'can't stand it'
I loved quueer as folk- did you know that the pretty blonde boy in it is now Jacks in 'Sons of Anarchy'?
2 out or 5 have actually said it does not bother them at all

Ic I would like to think I am very liberal minded too but like boxy and gran, I find it a bit off putting

dotty I didn't 'do' the survey!
Having said that - I did enjoy Queer as Folk (although as much for the music as for the plot, I found the CD of the sound track the other day)
but it was obviously inaccurate so don't give it a second look
Downton the new Sunday Night Drama had to have the gay kiss, bit of a turn off especially as it was Liam from Corrie!
doesn't bother me, if it's part of the storyline, then why not?..........it does happen in reality, and so I don't have a problem with it..................

ha-ha Oscarina...know what ya mean

I haven't seen Queer as Folk, sounds good
i doubt that the producers of corrie or emmerdale would set out to potentially put 4 out of 5 of their viewers off watching their programme. I would imagine they ave done alot of market analysis and sought an array of opinions from all dempographics
I used to like watching Queer eye for the Straight Guy. US version. It was very entertaining. I didn't mind if they put their arms across each others shoulders etc, but no further than that.

I think it might have more to do with who's watching with you. Doesn't bother me, but years ago when anything sexually explicit came on the Telly (strictly hetero in those days, of course) I used to squirm with embarrassment if watching with my mother, if for no other reason than I knew she was going to ask an awkward question.

Hi Welshy, it is a part of our everyday lives now, perhaps it's because I don't see it in real life tho'
Question Author
Mike it's just me and Bill as a rule so no embarrassment there, that is so often the case TT
Hi Bobbi, well I rarely see them kiss in real life, but I do see them hand in hand quite often!........I think we just have to realise that things are just more open these days! it always went on, but very quietly years ago!...........
