On Saturday I went to Asda with the intention of buying my xmas booze and what a f*cking palaver.

All their cheap offers, they deny knowledge of, "What paper did you see it in??"" like I am lying and when staff finally admitted knowledge of the offer, they said they only put out limited bottles to get the customers in.

I left in disgust and went to Morrisons, where I got just as good a deal. Asda won't see me again.

Standard practice. Netto does the same round me. They'll advertise TV sets at £20 but only ever have one in stock.
i noticed this morning they had loads of bottle of spirits out but were limiting to 3 per customer.

i wouldn;t say i was a fan or a hater its convienent, its on my way to work/home and i just pop in and get what i need as i need it!
Our nearest Asda is about 10 miles away. We have an iceland, a sainsburys, oh and 3 tescos stores!
I hate it with a vengeance. Won't ever go there again. Fortunately the nearest one is 25 miles away!!! From my recollections of Asda it is crowded, noisy, dirty and has blaring music. No thanks. Glad we only have a Morrisons (Oh and a little Tesco and a Waitrose not far away)

You may mock, vibra and peacock!!

But it was bl00dy annoying to say the least!

That is what I call cheating the customers!
Forget Asda and shop in Asif.......you can bargain prices down, choose each potato/chillie etc all packed in environmental friendly paper bags and staff carry goodies to car or will deliver.
LOL fluffy

totally agree, anything on special offer at Asda is never there when u go for it. I think the staff buy it all up for themselves unless it never existed in the first place. No stick to Morrisons..Morrisons rock.........
well maybe jim, but van was a bit more 'poppy'.

asbo ?
l am an asda shopper and over the years have found it very good, staff are really nice, and yes l have always wondered about these so called offers, but know tht they only ever have a few in stock,it was the same at aldi a few years ago, when cameras were on an offer only to find that the staff had brought them all up(tip from someone who worked there),talk about fraud.Where l live we have an asda and the dreaded tesco, which l avoid like the plague(got my reasons),and to go to morrisons is a few miles away and what would be saved on goods is used in petrol, unfortunately there are no sainsburys around my part of the uk, What annoys me more than anything in supermarkets is UNRULY KIDS,parents should make sure their kids behave,it is not fair that the staff have to act as parents, which l have seen. So l just grin and bear it and shop for what l need, quite often ignoring these so called offers.
