Didn't anyone see this?

It was (don't know what the word is) different maybe?

This 13 year old girl has been brainwashed with religion and is living in fear of going to hell. She doesn't know what other girls her age get up to, is not allowed to watch tv, doesn't know who Britney Spears or the Beatles.

She spends her days studying the bible and when she went to this party she was preaching to them and everyone she met she would say the ten commandments and if you had told a lie (even a white one) or if you had been blasphemous or used gods name in vain then you are a terrible person and will go to hell unless you ask for forgiveness! Then at the end she was really crying because she was so greatful that Jesus died on the cross to take away her sins and forgive her.

* I can spell grateful
It sounds very sad for the poor girl angel! I didn't see the programme but if I had it would probably have made me very angry.
i saw it on tv a couple of months back. She seemed happy with her beliefs though i felt she did preech a bit too much.
i wondered who thought up the idea of sticking her in a bus shelter with all the teenagers late at night, i doubt she does that normally!

the brother seems to slowly moving out from the family and their strict life, i hope he finds the right balance for him.
ididn't see this one but i saw the louis theroux one with 'the most hated family in america'

that was an eye opener! but each to their own i suppose

Yes he does redcrx.

It was sad daffy! I think she is happy with her beliefs and knows that she can ask for forgiveness to stop her going to hell but I still think its bad for someone her age to have to watch themselves and make sure they don't do anything that could mean they go to hell (like a white lie apparently). Too heavy for a young girl to carry on her shoulders.

They are discussing this more here http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/showthread. php?t=1001656

I'm not religious but the program actually kind of made me think I might go to hell if I don't ask gods forgiveness!!!

Didn't see that mccfluff but I like some of his programmes
That Louis Theroux one had me shouting at the TV mcfluff!
Those people were just hideous, the way they sent their children out to protest at soldier's funerals etc was outrageous.
Question Author
I have to agree with the people on digital spy - it is almost a form of child abuse
I'm all for freedom of religion and believe that people should be allowed to have any faith they want......as long as they don't try to force it onto others, that includes their own children!
Question Author
Same here Daffy!
I didn't know it was an English girl you were talking about angel, for some reason I just assumed it was an American programme you watched....just shows my own prejudice I suppose :(
