Brief Eastender Synopsis please from last 2 years......

I haven't watched EE for 2/3 years (never since Bradley Walsh, Samantha Janus and her from Bad Girls came into it) mainly because it was sooooo miserable and also that 'Max' character gave me the creeps - he made my skin crawl..... Anyway I nearly took it up again when I thought they'd killed him off but then the b****r rose from the grave or something, so that put paid to that. Anyway, all the clips about this long, lost daughter storyline have sparked my interest a little and I actually recorded the omnibus edition today!!! So what I want to know, before I watch it - can anyone give me a 'very brief' synopsis of 'who's who' over the past couple of years please??

I can't give you a synopisis as I don't watch it regularly, just if it happens to be on cos I haven't changed the channel, but I agree about Max - weird looking ugly bloke *shiver*

Thanks Tony, those links to the characters were great. Remembered who the cockney comedian is now - Bobby Davro!! (Well him and Bradly Walsh are quite similar heh??)
Still haven't got round to watching that omnibus yet!!
