t v speakers (not surround sound)

hi i find the speakers built into my flat screen tv ,very poor,can anyone suggest a pair of speakers that would i could buy to bypass the onboard speakers and enhance the quality of the sound, i dont want a surround sound system ,with a lot of small speakers all over the place, (i do know that that would be the proper answer,) but just a good PAIR is what i realy want many thanks for any suggestions

May I suggest you google 2.0 (stereo) or 2.1 (stereo with subwoofer)
I am sure you will find zillions of sites willing to sell you a system that will accept an external feed from your set
Richer sound would be an inexpensive bet.
