why has channel4 and 5 been taken of satelitte and why can local itv channels all come from itv central, and local bbc comes from london tv

I am sorry but I find your question a tad confusing.
Here (in East Sussex,nr Hastings) we get local ITV from Meridian in Maidstone,and local BBC from Tunbridge Wells.
However,I am not sure this is what you were asking?

Where do you live johnsam? Here in the North West we get Granada (ITV) and BBC NorthWest.
