Sad I know, but I'm sure that when Emily invited Jed to stay with her she offered him her front room to sleep in. So why was Tony creeping up and down the stairs collecting Jed's stuff?

My brain has been addled over Christmas, that's my excuse.

She possibly meant the room at the front of the house, that could be either on the ground floor or upstairs :]

Did you notice how "easy" it was for Tony to slip into Emily's house unnoticed! Knowing Emily she would have searched around for him to join them for Christmas Dinner! There are a lot of descrepancies and uncontinuities in the Street but we still watch! Maybe all will be explained!

he may have slept in the front room (living room) but he wouldnt have his things there aswell maybe they were in another room upstairs
