Aggree with you there Jeanc. I never have liked Alexandra, too much of a drama queen, Her , Ruth, Laura and Leona all sound the same they all shout when they're singing and as for Alexandra singing Silent night with all that warbling (as all the others do) she completely ruined it, I'm sorry but I found all 4 of them boring.
The best singer in the final (if that actually counts for anything) won. Although I'm still sulking that Ruth wasn't there.
As for JLS, I don't feel sorry for them losing out, but I do feel sorry for them that their R&B style is already being stripped away by Louis flamin' Walsh gradually turning them into We$tlife 2 (or is it Boyzone 3?). I laughed last week when he told them there was a gap in the market for them. Oh yes Louis, the world really needs another weedy-voiced boyband, perched on stools until the big key change. Leave them alone, you evil little man.
Still, at least Eggnog didn't win.

No-one's saying he didn't do his best, gelda, but that's just it - his best shouldn't have been good enough to get him in the final. One of the three best acts in the whole thing? Absolutely no way. Week after week, far better singers went out while he bizarrely stayed in.
I think the other thing that really grated on the nerves was his increasingly desperate, pleading, last puppy in the shop looks to camera to get the mums to vote for him. Which worked infuriatingly well right up until last night.

Thank goodness Eggnog finally went. He shouldn't even have got to the boot camp stage. He sings out of tune a lot of the time and is embarrassing.
I was rooting for JLS. And yes I find Alexander totally boring too, and all those tears and emotion were dreadful to watch. JLS were far more entertaining.
I heard her CD on the radio this morning. It is just very ordinary and her voice is similar to lots of others. And she has ruined what is an absolutely wonderful song (was there any need to warble at the end). Jeff Buckley would turn in his grave!! I shall now go and put my Jeff Buckley album on!!

It is a shame that such a great song, performed far greater by Buckley than the original Leonard Cohen one is to be tarnished with this pop trash version.

Actually Octavius I quite liked the beginning of Leona's version of Run, but as it goes on she warbles more and more and the end of it is a total, incomprehensible mess!!
