Yuk! best for removing sick

My daughter was sick last night - all over me and the carpet in the lounge. I mopped it up as best I could but theres still that 'odour' there.

Short of hiring a carpet cleaner whats the best product to remove the odour? I had some Febreze in the cupboard but it was literally dregs, not enough to cover the area

bicarbonate of soda.

Sprinkle well over the area leave for a little while and then vacuum up.

Wash the carpet with vinegar, dry with a towel, sprinkle with baking soda, leave to dry completely, then vacuum up.
