1. The car had been converted to petrol since the hike of Diesel prices.
2. Well he is a bit thick isn't he.
3. It's a show, it's all pretend.

Like the resident who doesn't want to leave his house is a Scouser but has lived in that house (in Salford) over 30yrs. When I see those scenes I just know there are police at each of that street to protect the tv crew from the yolcals...
Ha ha, I also spotted that one!
what has the resident being a scouser got to do with him living in that house??
Mr Stone was Minnie Caldwell's lodger in Coronation Street over 40 years ago. When he came out of prison he ending up living round the corner.

Ah Jed Stone (Sunny Jim) I remember him so well - a major Corrie character for about six years in the 60's.

Just found this:

Hey, thanks for that link, Lottie. Thanks to Ethel too.

I was trying to remember where Jed Stone fitted in. Was just about to post a Q about it on here.

:o)
Makes me feel very old Mrs Chappie :o( !!
Me too lass!!!!!

:o)
Gosh looking at that photo I thought "Gosh he reminds me of someone" and there it is Marty Hopkirk (Randle and Hopkirk deceased) he wasn't a Scouser in that was he?... My I would never have known. I loved him in that.
I do hope Jed lives. It'd be nice if he, Ken and Emily (who are probably the only one's he'll know now, had a drink in the Rovers once old bug eyes get caught (I wish)
Yes, Kenneth Cope is quite an accomplished actor and been in loads of films and TV

I got upset about the cat being chucked out by 'bug eyes' last night. Nice touch that the cat is named 'Sunny Jim'.
Only you can see me, Jeff.
I think he should get out his white suit and scare Tony off, how good would that be :-)
If he doesn't become invisible the white suit alone will scare the pants of him.. !!
Well who knows, I mean, if he DOES die....

dum dum dum dum, dum dum dum dum.......
I'm with you Lottie, I was worried about the cat, I kept thinking what if he gets run over and who's going to feed him!! Sad I know!!
LOL Gelda. The cat, as we both know, is a well trained 'actor' but that is beside the point. I go to pieces in any drama where an animal is involved mostly just won't watch because I worry that something nasty is going to happen.

However, I worry not about the humans.

As the cat features in next weeks episodes where I believe we find out his name is Sunny Jim, I may even choose not to watch!!
The cat is called Sunny Jim? Surely not - that is Mr Stone's name
Hi Ethel,

If you read the second paragraph of my earlier link at 12.44 you will see what I mean.
