Has anyone ever seen any repeats of The Virginian (the t.v. series, not the film of the same name) Its credits started with the virginian cantering towards the camera on a very long road(!) and Doug McClure was Trampas. It would have been 60's-70's. Just interested as i've never seen it advertised. Thanks.

No I haven't. I was only thinking that the other day - not the virginian specifically, just that with the amount of channels showing old stuff, and even giving them re-runs on top of re-runs, there are always programmes that you never see. On the western theme, I would really like to see the high chaparral again.
I cann't recall it being repeated, but I remember the series James D (r?)ury played the Virginian and it ran for about 8 years. If I remember rightly it was one of the first series to be made in colour for its entire run
I am 99% certain I saw an episode within the last 2 or 3 years. I remember I was surprised at how young he looked (when I last saw it he seemed like an "old" man - because I guess I was about 7) and how clean cut it all was. No idea when this was, or what channel though!

I've just Googled it and there on a website called "TVDVDWORLD.TV" you can buy Seasons 1-9 (all 249 episodes) on 45 DVDs for a regular price of $499.98 or a special price of $249.99! I think that I'll just let it remain a pleasant memory!
