yeah, it was alot better on bbc mainly because there was no ads. five paid something like 300m for neighbours (100k an episode) for eight years. I think if BBC had offered more, it would be a ridiculous price to pay for it. I love neighbours but that's just too much.

The weakest link won't always be there, BBC did commission a new australian drama (Out of the Blue), they ordered 130 episodes of it, it's currently being filmed and will begin on bbc in april 2008. It'll either go into the timeslot the weakest link has now, or it might even be shown on bbc 2.
I watch Neighbours, and apart from the adverts on Channel 5, I think it's great because it's shown twice on 5 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm, then it's also on Five Life at 9am and 7pm and if you miss any during the week, there's an omnibus on Saturday on Channel 5 at 12 noon until 2.10 pm.
This is much more choice than the beeb gave us, and hopefully 5 won't take it off for Wimbledon etc.
Don't think Ann Robinson will be moved back to BBC2 (can you imagine what she would say to that!) They'll probably just do some shuffling around as they tend to do.
