during the 50/60's bbc television showed weekly a number to programs (woodtops, bill & ben) on set days in the week. could anybody fill in the days in the week and what was showed.

Monday - Picture Book
Tuesday - Andy Pandy
Wednesday - The Flower Pot Men
Thursday - Rag, Tag and Bobtail
Friday - The Woodentops
Monday - Picture Book

That was until the 1960s when more programmes were introduced to Watch With Mother, such as Tales of the Riverbank, Camberwick Green, Joe, The Herbs.
My mum has got an old recording of watch with mother on video! All the grand kids get shown it lol
Ah, those were the days, when a seriously feminine-looking doll could share a basket with a rag doll and a bear, and no-one batted an eyelid, and a wooden boy could sit at the bottom of the slide and watch his wooden sister slide down, and no-ont thought it was at all sinister.

I remember seeing a re-run of Andy Pandy a few years ago and thinking "Srings? Where did those great thick black strings come from, I don't remember them!"
