Can anyone out there help me & prove to work colleagues I am NOT losing my marbles! Does anyone remember a series from the 80's about a tomboy sent to Finishing School by her "common" but wealthy father but all the girl wanted to do was play truant to jive in the coffee shop opposite. I have no idea who played the girl (or indeed any of the cast members - otherwise I would have looked it up on IMdb) but I am sure the headmistress has been in at least one Miss Marple episode. Please help!!

Was this a children's series? A comedy? British or US?

It was British & it was on at about 8pm - not a kids series at all. The plots were quite thin - which is probably why it was only on for 1 series! Does that ring any bells?

It was called "Head Over Heels" and starred Ian Embleton and Diana Morrison.
