I am advised by the gorgeous Assistant Editor of Drummer Magazine that a member of the cast was seen reading this esteemed publication in Monday's episode. I feel a swell of pride, as a regular writer for the magazine, although I didn't see the episode, so will have to wait for the omnibus edition at the weekend to check it out.

Just one thing - can someone please allay my worst (and probably accurate!) fear that the cast member was that whey faced poltroon who hangs around The Rovers and is supposedly a drummer? H couldn't carry a beat in a bucket!!!!

Oh the shame of it .....!

yes it was him....Vernon....been playing air drums on the bar all week grrrrr!!!
