People tried to get money off the dragons for new business ventures. Some succeeded. Some failed.

thedelbwa - thanks for the reply. I am aware of the format of the programme. What I was after ( and obviously didn't word my question properly ) was information as to the nature of the business ventures proposed and their success or failure in getting backing from the dragons. I gather that one person was fortunate to have his idea of a sauce backed by Peter Jones.
Can anyone be more informative the thedelbwa or jenstar?
Osprey, this might help a little, even though it does go off on a tangent!

Also check it out on google, there is a pretty good website there.
Osprey, just re-read that link, it goes off on a tangent sooner than I thought. So here goes (from memory)

One guy came in with a glove you wore on your right hand so that when you are driving in Europe you knew which side of the road you should be on, Dragons didn't go for it.

Woman came in with what looked like a 'cool box', basically you put new born lambs in it, filled it up with warm water and this revived the lambs born in cold/snowy weather. Dragons didn't go for it.

Two guys wanted the Dragons to invest in their refridgerated transport business. The guys were brilliant and they had all their facts and figures and had invested a substantial amount of their own money in the business, which was thriving. The Dragons ended up undercutting each other to get a part of the business, it was brilliant, they were nearly drooling at the prospect. Dragons went for it.

A guy called Levi Roots (real name Keith) wanted them to invest in his Reggae Reggae Sauce, and although he got his figures wrong, his personality shone through, he was fantastic, came across as a really nice bloke. Peter Jones took up the mantle and offered him the cash, although I think ,in part, purely because Levi's personality and charisma alone would sell the sauce! It was really good TV.

Hope that helps.
Levi Roots has a web site for his Reggae Reggae sauce as well - quite funny!!
2 guys wanted money for a surf aid - a towel with 2 feet woven into the pattern....(?)

they are to show you where to put your feet when you jump upright....

how the towel would stay in place in the water and how you would stop it twisting up around your feet, getting lost in the sea, etc etc was not mentioned

the same, if not better result could be achieved with a marker pen
LOL joko, forgot about that one.
