Is this a new series, or just the tail-end of series 15?

How did PC Walker's wife die?

What happened with PC Bellamy and his wife - they'd just got together last time I watched(!), now she's disappeared.

PC Bellamy's wife went back to her ex-husband with the children. He wasn't dead, he'd just been 'away' for a while.

OK thanks, guys - I really should get a life! But dark nights, Sunday evenings, ironing school uniforms while watching Heartbeat - it doesn't get safer n cosier than this!
