Laptop Using Charged Battery When Off.

I am not sure,but twice now,when I have come to go on my laptop,the battery is flat even though it was not when I turned it off.....s this possible and ,if so,how and why?

It could need replaced as they do have an end of life. However, firstly you should try disconnecting your laptop from the charger and removing the battery for a while, maybe ten minutes, then charge the battery fully without using the laptop and see if that helps.
