Many years ago, in the days of VHS, I rented an Irish comedy. I believe it was called Maggie Brown. or something similar. Story line was a widow struggling to raise her family, following the death of her husband who had worked as a kitchen porter. She was a fan of Tom Jones, and the story culminates with her actually meeting him. It was a good light-hearted comedy, but yet with poignant moments.
I have tried to find the film through amazon, e-bay but with no success. Does anyone recognise the film and recall its correct title.

I've just watched it, good film, and there's Brendan O'carroll as the tramp and his real wife also in it, very good.
