I bought one of these today, thinking it was a sort of melon as it was being sold with the melons.

What a disappointment. It was just a big dry, not very tasty grapefruity thing.

What a waste of money and more importantly, what a swizz!

Actually, it was a pomelo, not a polemo.

Sounds like a poor quality one...they should be very sweet and juicy.

according to this, it should taste like a mild grapefruit, so that was correct. Definitely not melony. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pomelo

... and PS nothing wrong with buying fruit and veg from Lidl, it's very good value!
