Did anyone watch the first part of this 4 parter about a body that lay undiscovered for two years in the attic. What did you think of it?

I thought it was really good. Great cast too.
I've recorded it......is it worth watching?

All the neighbours seem to have something to hide and nobody liked her or even noticed she was missing.A sad reflection on today's society.
I think there will be a twist to the story (it usually happens) the dead body may not be Melissa but could be her mother who was seen briefly in bed with that teacher chap holding her hand.
i think i'll watch that now to catch up
What confused me, was that there no post inside the flat door after she went missing and no dust anywhere, also, why did the detective at the beginning need a key to get in when the new couple had smashed the door in???
trt
yes i though that too ??
thought, not though..... must get this "t" key sorted out lol
A bit silly as a concept. Someone may well have owned a flat outright but there are bills, demands, etc. Any follow up by anyone should have triggered at least a visit. The teacher guy had a key and, unless he was involved, would at least have discovered a half eaten chocolate bar and rotting food. Can't see this happening at all.

I usually enjoy David Threlfall's acting, but in this he just looks too like old Steptoe.
Can't possibly be anything to do with the teacher chap, he's being made too obvious!
pussnboots,I thought exactly the same! It's looking like a good drama that's for sure.

we dont have any demands just utilities bills all paid by direct debit and if you have enough to cover these bills in the bank then you can lay dead for years
I watched it last night and thought it was excellent. I get very little post - all bills are paid by DD and I have internet billing, so no paper bills.
Most insurances are set up to automatically renew these days so very little paperwork there.

There is no post behind the door of the flat because it doesn't have a letter box. Mail is left on the table in the communal hall. If the baddie lives in one of the flats he (or she) can easily squirrel away any post that arrives for her. Or if he is clever, he would get it redirected.

Lack of dust - if the flat is tightly secured there would be very little dust. Most dust comes from human skin, clothing, day to day living, and insects.

Great drama with lots of questions, lots of suspects and great casting.
