It's the New Year! I want to do something different but lack imagination. Just like the radio prog 'I've Never Seen Star Wars' I want to try some things I've never done.

Can any ABers give me some ideas on something different to do? Doesn't matter how whacky, boring or stupid.

Without such information it's hard to make suggestions but, just to get started, what's your dancing like? (If you already dance, you could try something a bit different). So, ballroom dancing, perhaps? Or line dancing? Or salsa?

Buenchico, too many candles, not enough cake. I dance like a chemistry teacher. But you might be on to something. Do they still do those books where you learn to dance by putting paper footprints on the floor?

I wouldn't bother with macrame, abseiling etc unless it's something you actually want to do. Have you never over the past few decades wished you had more time to do X? If X is macrame, do macrame. If X is abseiling, don't do macrame.

But for heaven's sake don't spend your last years building the Eiffel Tower out of matchsticks just because you haven't done it before. Do it because you want to.

Seriously, gness, there's a deaf project near me. They're really friendly, but I don't know how to speak to them. How do you say anything more than hello in sign language?
