Reading about the wedding on corrie, am I right in thinking that Rita would be about the same age as Dennis Tanners mum Elsie would have been, and would she have been around when he was running about in short trousers?

I can't go with the story that they were "sweet on one another" all those years ago, I seem to recall her being much older than him at the time...maybe I'm wrong though as it was a long time ago.

I don't watch Corrie I havn't done for years but wasn't Dennis Tanner's dad some yankie GI who was over here during the war ?
