For Virgin you will need fiber optic. If you dont have it then you cant get virgin. You can get broadband though and phone
I have virgin-the best thing (IF you have xl package-I've had to downgrade) you get to watch 'tv choice on demand' for freewhich includes whole series eg cold case or supernatural series 2 or whatever, or auf wiedersein pet 2 is on- I'll have to pay now- its good for those who want to spend weekend reliving or catch up favourites, but sky seems cheaper to me-when i move I'M thinking sky.
Go to the virgin media website and key in your postcode. This function will tell you if they can cable you up or not.
I agree with the comment about the xl package. A few years ago it was great value but they have priced it up too high (for me anyway).
I am with Virgin but would much rather have Sky. Sadly I can't have it as our factors wont allow Sky dishes....:(
Sorry pressed submit too soon! I find Virgin very expensive. My brother has Sky and pays much less than me for a very similar package.
I have the XL virgin pack with broadband and phone. It comes to £64.00.monthly,perhaps expensive but I love my V+ box which allows me to tape 2 shows whilst watching a 3rd live prog. or catch up on prerecorded shows.I have had problems with my broadband but the support staff are terrific and soooo patient.Only thing I don`t like is paying £5.00 extra a month because I don`t pay by standing order-I pay on line so it`s paperless anyway!
I love Virgin and having the XL tv package means I can also watch Virgin Media on all my pcs and blackberry.
I save money by not bothering with a landline and use Skype and my mobile phone. Haven't had a landline for years and don't miss it.
Tommy I have the same package and pay £84!! :(
I pay less than £50 for XLtv with V+ in one room, normal Virgin box in another and broadband.
Used to pay Sky £75.00 per month for all film / sports channels then both earners ( public sector) made redundant by Bill & Ben of No 10. Cancelled Sky, bought a Humax Freesat box, connected to Sky Sat dish & now wheeee Freesat channels without paying anything which include some sport & movie channels & include H/D from BBC & ITV. Laughing all the way to the bank.

Ron.
wow Ron, I didn't know you could do that
